We’re seeking a detail-oriented and supportive Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in connecting people, finance, and technology. From supporting major planning processes like Annual Plans and Long-Term Plans, to improving financial systems and reporting, your work will directly contribute to better decision-making across Council. You’ll also be a trusted go-to for system users—helping translate business needs into smart, practical solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of accounting responsibilities while adding value through analysis, insights, and process improvements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting financial systems and integrations (including TechnologyOne)
- Developing and enhancing financial and management reports
- Working closely with Council teams to understand and deliver on their financial information needs
- Providing system guidance, support, and training to users
- Helping maintain accurate, secure, and reliable financial systems
- Supporting system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with risk management, internal controls, and system integrity
- Troubleshooting issues and ensuring a great user experience
This role could be suitable for someone working towards their CA or equivalent.
